This is a now page. It tells you what I’m currently focused on.
Last updated: January 2026
π§ Working On
At work: Building ML systems that actually work in production. The gap between “works in notebook” and “works at scale” is where I live.
Mindent AI: Building a portfolio of software businesses under mindnet.ai. Each product has its own brand; Mindent AI is just the holding company. See the full picture on the Ventures page.
Sparrow Intelligence: Still taking select clients for AI/ML and backend work via sparrow.so.
Content Creation (2026 Focus): Going all-in on building a personal brand. Creating content across YouTube (long-form deep dives), X (daily updates), LinkedIn (professional insights), and Instagram (visual journey). The goal: build an audience, share what I learn, and document the journey. See where to find me.

π§ Listening To
Podcasts I’m enjoying:

- Dwarkesh Patel: Deep dives on AI, history, and progress
- The Ezra Klein Show: Policy and ideas
- Philosophize This!: Philosophy made accessible
Music for coding:
- Lo-fi hip hop (obviously)
- Film scores (Hans Zimmer, JΓ³hann JΓ³hannsson)
- Ambient electronic (Tycho, Boards of Canada)
- Occasionally: aggressive metal when debugging legacy code
π Thinking About
- Mechanistic interpretability: Can we actually understand what’s happening inside neural networks?
- AI governance: Who decides what AI can and can’t do? (Spoiler: it’s complicated)
- Epistemics and calibration: Formalizing how I form beliefs, track predictions, and measure how well my confidence matches reality. See my approach and prediction log.
- The attention economy: How technology shapes minds at scale
- Craft vs. scale: What’s lost when we optimize for growth?
- Why Euro and Brownie prefer sleeping on my keyboard: A mystery for the ages
π Paying Attention To
Geopolitics:
- US-China tech competition
- AI regulation landscape (EU AI Act, US executive orders)
- The changing nature of warfare
Tech:
- Open source AI models (Llama, Mistral, etc.)
- The agent/agentic AI explosion
- What comes after transformers?
πͺ Fitness
- Training: 6 days/week, natural bodybuilding
- Started: January 2025, my New Year resolution to get fit and stay healthy lifelong
- Current focus: Progressive overload, compound movements
- Philosophy: Consistency over intensity, no shortcuts
- Why: The gym is my meditation. Problems solve themselves under the barbell.
πΎ Life Things
- Location: Fully remote since 2020, somewhere with good coffee, stable internet, and a decent gym
- Health: Maintaining the meat vehicle that runs my brain, 6x weekly
- My wife π: The queen. The reason any of this exists. Still inspiring me daily.
- Euro π±: The gentleman. Joined our family in 2023. Currently judging me from his throne (the cat tree)
- Brownie π±: The chaos agent. Also joined in 2023. Currently obsessed with knocking things off my desk
β Not Doing
A “stop doing” list is as important as a to-do list:
- Not taking on clients outside my expertise (AI/ML, backend, scaling)
- Not optimizing for productivity metrics
- Not checking email more than twice a day (aspirational)
- Not saying yes to things that don’t compound
Inspired by Derek Sivers’ /now page. If you have your own, I’d love to see it.
